I was impressed with how quickly my item was shipped and how discreet the packaging was. I received four toys in the same box.
The box was a robust cardboard, taped securely with nothing on the outside to state the naughtiness of the contents. Even the customs label was discreet, it is good to know that Hankeys Toys take customer discretion seriously as packaging is often a concern when ordering online.
Inside the box, the toys were each sealed in a robust, transparent, heat-sealed plastic. This plastic was so strong I needed to use scissors to open it. I like this minimalistic approach to packaging as it generates less waste.

The Scorpion Sex Grinder's plastic seal did have a little hole, but this is most likely due to the difficult shape. Inside the plastic film was a Mr Hankeys Toys sticker. On the base of the scorpion was another sticker with a QR code link to the safety page on Mr Hankeys Toys website.
I like that you get a link to some safety information about Hankeys Toys; it provides clear and concise information that is easy to understand.

Materials and design
Mr Hankeys Toys uses platinum-grade silicone for their products. Silicone is my preferred material for insertable toys. This is because it is free of phthalates, latex, and PVC. Silicone is also a body-safe, non-porous, and more robust material than other cheaper options.
The Scorpion Sex Grinder is an inspired design for a sex grinder. The scorpion is very realistic and detailed. I have never seen a real scorpion in person, but looking at images online, it looks realistic. That means details and textures that you are really going to enjoy.
The curved shape of the scorpion provides a perfect seat. The back (sternites) of the Scorpion Sex Grinder has many deep ridges. The head of the scorpion is raised with the pincers held higher. The tail is raised higher than the body. The legs are just as detailed as the rest of the scorpion. Making the whole design look more like a piece of art than a sex toy.
The saddle is the higher option of the two sizes. The height makes it easier to sit and ride on. If you prefer to hold a grinder, I recommend looking at the smaller option, as this one will be much lighter to hold and use.
The solid flat base holds the sex grinder still and secure on a chair, the floor or whatever surface you prefer to use. Under the pincers is the Mr Hankeys Toys name.
This is a lot of silicone; as such, it is quite heavy, which helps keep it in place while you grind on it. With twenty four colour options, you have a fantastic range to choose from.
Performance
Due to my bad knees, sub 'r' was given the Scorpion Sex Grinder to review, so this is the part that I now hand over to her.
I was thrilled when Joanne asked me to review the Scorpion Sex Grinder. I would not usually look at having fun with an insect, but the Scorpion does look amazing.
I played with the Scorpion Sex Grinder on a variety of surfaces. My favourite was using an old wooden chair. I found the silicone worked well on the wooden surface. The height was perfect for me to sit and grind my lady bits onto the body of the scorpion.

After thoroughly cleaning the sex grinder, I placed it on a wooden chair. I poured some water-based lube onto the scorpion, stripped off and sat on the grinder.
As I sat on the grinder, my pussy lips opened, and the feel of the wet surface felt great. Moving my body slowly forward and back, I rubbed myself across the ridges and head of the scorpion. The tail is ideally situated to rub my anus as I move. A slight alteration to my posture saw me able to take the tail vaginally, and that felt incredible.
The feel of the ridges felt amazing, rubbing against my clit and pussy. I soon found myself moving faster and faster. Adding more weight as I moved provided the perfect pressure required to soon have me squirting my orgasm. It is really easy to alter your position to change how it feels. I loved the textures. Trust me when I say that lube is your friend when it comes to grinders.

Cleaning the Scorpion Sex Grinder is simple. I placed mine in my dishwasher. You can hand wash the grinder if you prefer. I recommend using an anti-bacterial soap and a soft toothbrush. The toothbrush ensures that all body fluids and lube are removed from the ridges and gaps by the legs.
I left mine to air dry, using Joanne's trick of placing it on some kitchen roll. Once fully dry, I place it securely in my toy box to keep any dust and fluff away from the grinder so it is ready for when I need to take a ride to orgasm-town.

Final Thoughts
The Scorpion Sex Grinder is a fun design that works incredibly well. The design is very realistic and does not look like a sex toy. If I left it out for others to see, they would not know its true purpose.
If you do not enjoy insertable toys, then this sex grinder could be for you.
The realistic scorpion provides some lovely ridges to ride and grind. The stinger adds that extra stimulation and can be used for anal play if you want it to. The shape is the perfect curve for a seat. The design is not too wide to cause discomfort when straddled.
