Term Main definition
Sodium Saccharin
An artificial sweetener. There is some data that says these can lead to yeast infections for those who are already prone to them, and some people can have an allergic reaction. But it's present in other foods, like canned fruit, diet sodas, and candy, so if you haven't had an allergic reaction to these foods before, you're probably safe to ingest it. Just keep it away from any sensitive mucous membranes if you're prone to yeast infections.

Sodium Benzoate
A preservative. It’s not known to be toxic or have any adverse reaction to humans. However, in massive quantities, it’s thought to be responsible for hyperactive behavior when ingested. In a lubricant, it should have no effect and is considered a safe ingredient in lubes.

Shore Hardness
The Shore durometer is a method of measuring the hardness of a material, typically of polymers. Higher numbers on the scale indicate a greater resistance to indentation and thus harder materials.Lower numbers indicate less resistance and softer materials. The term is also used to describe a material's rating on the scale, as in an object having a "'Shore durometer' of 90." The scale was defined by Albert Ferdinand Shore, who developed a suitable device to measure hardness in the 1920s. It was neither the first hardness tester nor the first to be called a durometer (ISV duro- and -meter; attested since the 19th century), but today that name usually refers to Shore hardness; other devices use other measures, which return corresponding results, such as for Rockwell hardness.

Shibari
Kinbaku (緊縛) means "tight binding," while Kinbaku-bi (緊縛美) literally means "the beauty of tight binding." Kinbaku is a Japanese style of bondage or BDSM which involves tying a person up using simple yet visually intricate patterns, usually with several pieces of thin rope (often jute, hemp or linen and generally around 6 mm (0.24 in) in diameter, but sometimes as small as 4 mm (0.16 in), and between 7–8 m (23–26 ft) long. In Japanese, this natural-fibre rope is known as asanawa (麻縄); the Japanese vocabulary does not make a distinction between hemp and jute. The allusion is to the use of hemp rope for restraining prisoners, as a symbol of power, in the same way that stocks or manacles are used in a Western BDSM context. The word shibari came into common use in the West at some point in the 1990s to describe the bondage art Kinbaku. Shibari (縛り) is a Japanese word that broadly means "binding" or "tying" in most contexts, but is used in BDSM to refer to this style of decorative bondage.

Phthalate
Phthalates (pronounced thal-ates) are plasticizers used to soften PVC vinyls. If vinyls do not have any softeners, they are basically very hard PVC plastic. They are used in cosmetics, fragrances (perfume) air fresheners, scented candles, ink and many other products including sex toys. Phthalate molecules are not chemically bound to the plastics they soften, and as such, phthalates can "break free" from plastic fairly easily, causing rubber and jelly toys to deteriorate over time. Some studies have reported that phthalates may mimic the female hormone estrogen.
