I didn't have to wait long for a nicely packaged box to arrive, but I had to wait until Joanne and sub'r' opened it. Both of them revelled in the excitement of receiving two toys and the play possibilities that would ensue.
Both products were well packaged and in a discreet outer box which showed no indication as to what was inside, which is good if you worry about packages with sex toys in them arriving in the post.
The product packing is very nice indeed, with a lot of attention going into the presentation, with the Onyx+ held securely inside some foam packaging with a faux velvet finish - very classy.

I love the instructions; they are minimalistic but clear and concise, with six simple steps to get your Onyx+ up and running. I love this approach; well done, Kiiroo.
You also get a card with QR code links to the complete manual, Feel Connect, Feelme AI, some Interactive Content, and a warranty card reminding you to register your unit for the warranty.
Inside the box, you get the Onyx+, a USB charging lead and a sealed single-sleeve package; the Kiiroo has a standard fit sleeve. Tight-fit sleeves and replacement Standard-fit ones are available and reasonably priced in packs of three from Kiiroo.
You get everything you need to get going with the exception of lube.
But enough about how good the box looks; you are probably more interested in how the Onyx+ works and, more importantly, performs in use. So let me tell you about what it is and what it does.
Materials and design
I cannot stress this enough, the level of finish on this machine is fantastic; yes, it is expensive, but it proves the adage that you get what you pay for.
The body of the Onyx+ is made from sleek ABS, and it has a mat finish to most of it, with the area where the controls are located having a sleek shiny finish.
I like the black sleek lines of the Onyx+, it looks great.
The back of the body features a charging port that is covered by a silicone cover. Just push it to one side to insert the USB charging cable. A full charge takes around four hours to complete. The power light flashes red as the Onyx+ charges, changing to a steady red light once a full charge is attained.
The controls, which are one button and some arrows, are straightforward to use. The power button is used to switch the machine on and off again, as well as allowing you to cycle through the various functions of the Onyx+.
When switched on, it defaults to interactive mode, allowing you to use it with any KIIROO device. KIIROO Pearl (1 or 2), KIIROO Onyx (1, 2 or +), OhMiBod Fuse, OhMiBod Esca (1 or 2) or any FeelTechnology-enabled compatible device.
The controls are very easy to use and the indicator light changes colour depending on what mode you are in.
This allows you to connect to a partner's toy or enjoy interactive content online, which is fun to explore.
When you remove the cap on the end of the Onyx+ exposes the central chamber and a glossy retaining plate that you need to move to fit the sleeve inside the toy.
The Onyx+ comes with one standard-fit sleeve, suitable for penis diameters between 3.5cm to 4.3cm. If you are slimmer than that, then Kiiroo sells tighter sleeves, but if you are larger, this is not the product for you as you will not be able to use it.
The sleeve comes sealed in a reusable pouch and is white with nodules on its inner surface, providing extra stimulation. I don't know what the material is, but I suspect it is a TPR and not silicone. If it were silicone, Kiiroo would probably be shouting that fact from the rooftops.

The sleeve is inserted into the chamber, and the retaining plate is snapped back to hold it securely. At least, that is the theory. In practice, it is surprisingly easy to dislodge the sleeve from its position unless you use lots of lube. This is because the sleeve is so soft and flexible. I would have liked it to have been firmer around the base to aid its retention.
These sleeves are replaceable and won't last forever, even with a good cleaning regime, but Kiiroo sells packs of three for £33, which is good value for money in my books.
Make sure you charge it before first use to prolong battery life.
Cleaning after use is a simple task, just remove the sleeve and wash before drying thoroughly.
Performance
Make sure you apply lots of water-based lube to yourself and the inside of the sleeve, then slip inside. Hitting the power button will start the unit up in interactive mode, and you can use this to share the session with a partner.
Hitting the power again turns the power light purple, putting you into manual mode. This mode is fun, and you keep the Onyx+ still but stroke the controls up to have it massage you in an upward direction. Stroke the controls down to reverse that.
Pressing the button again takes you into the four automatic modes, and this is where the Onyx+ comes to life for solo play. The four modes are different enough to stay exciting, and stroking the controls up or down alters the speed of the strokes.
The Onyx+ can stroke at up to 140 strokes per minute, and while not silent, it is pretty quiet. Turn the TV on, and no one in the next room will know what you are up to.
Inside the main chamber, a series of rollers move up and down, applying pressure to the sleeve as they move. This translates into an excellent stroking sensation on your "happy chap".
There are nodules on the inside of the sleeve for added stimulation.
While you may think this looks like a larger version of a Fleshlight, you couldn't be further away from the truth.
The Onyx+ is fantastic; let me tell you why.

Kiiroo claims that a four-hour charge will give you an hour of playtime, which is a fair description, but if using the Onyx+ on fast settings, that time will decrease.

The Onyx+ is a great toy that provides some pleasant stimulation but pays attention to the size requirements listed on the product page. It isn't for everyone.
I enjoy the inbuilt routines, but the Onyx+ comes into its own when you lay with interactive content or tie it together with a partner wherever they are. Sharing intimate time with someone anywhere is priceless and can spice up a long-distance relationship.
Would I recommend it? Yes, absolutely, but to get the most out of it, you need to use interactive media. That is a blast - quite literally.
