John Thomas TWISTED Platinum Silicone Stretcher Review

The boxes arrived quickly, all plain brown and sealed with plain brown tape. The robust boxes were very discreet, which is something I always appreciate. The shipping label did not mention the JTT website, so everything was discreet.

I can always count on deliveries from JTT being quick and discreet which is good to know if you have any concerns or are in a shared household.

Inside the box was lots of packing paper to hold the contents securely in transit. Underneath were all four sizes of Twisted. Each stretcher was sealed in a transparent, heat-sealed film.

Also inside the box were four black faux velvet storage bags and four vac-u-lock compatible suction cup holders/adaptors.

Materials and design

Twisted is made of medical-grade platinum silicone. This is an ideal material for insertable toys for several reasons. It is more robust than cheaper materials, and you can also enjoy temperature play with this material.

Silicone is hypoallergenic, body-safe, non-porous. It is also free of phthalates, latex and PVC. Platinum-grade silicone is a more expensive material than PVC or TPE, but it is a much safer material to use.

The gently rounded tips on Twisted make initial insertion easy, then the challenge begines.

JTT use copper moulds to manufacture their insertable toys. This is a more expensive method than some other manufacturers use. However, it is the perfect way to ensure no details are lost.

Twisted looks similar to the top of a whipped ice cream cone. Twisted is a perfect name for this stretcher. The cone-shaped stretcher has a groove carved into a downward arc that twists around the shape from the tip to the base.

The cone shape begins with a narrow tip, widening gently all the way down to the wide base. On one side of the base is the JTT name, and on the other is the JTT logo. Underneath the cone is a vac-u-lock compatible hole.

Twisted is available in four colours, four sizes and two firmness ratings. I received all four sizes, each one in a different colour.

As this is a stretcher, sub 'r' decided that she wanted to review this toy. So, I will hand you over to sub 'r' for her feedback on its performance.

Performance

Hi, sub 'r' here; as I wanted to try this stretcher, I will share my views on its performance. JTT publishes a full list of measurements for all its toys on its website. This stretcher lives up to its name and is certainly not small. So, I chose the small size to play with, as I wanted to experience as much of the length as possible.

The beauty of this stretcher is the small tip. This makes insertion very easy. The wide base allowed me to place the stretcher on my chair. I covered it with water-based lube and prepared to lower myself onto the stretcher.

As soon as I was in the correct position, I slowly lowered my butt onto the tip. The tip slid in easily, and I really enjoyed the sensations the ridges provided as I moved further down the toy.

I slowly moved up and down, trying to take a little more of the length. I am not new to anal play, but the small stretcher is still a challenge for me. I enjoyed the feel of Twisted as I moved it in and out. The ridges provided some truly delicious sensations.

I managed to take about halfway down the small Twisted stretcher and enjoyed every minute of play.

After play, I placed the stretcher in my dishwasher. As soon as the cycle ended, I double-checked that the stretcher was clean, then put it on the side to allow it to air dry.

Once I was assured it was dry, I placed it inside its storage bag to keep it clean until next time.

JTT provides a free black, faux velvet storage bag with every toy purchased. These bags are the correct size for the toy you have purchased. The velvet is a thick material stitched well and ends with a drawstring closure. On one side of the bag, printed in white, is the JTT name and logo. I really like these bags as they not only look great, but they work well, too.

I salute anyone who can tackle the XL version.

Twisted has a broad base that sits nicely on a flat surface. However, if you want to change positions with it, the suction cup holder/adaptor works fantastically well. Please remember to use the suction cup adaptor/holder on a clean, smooth, flat surface like tiles.

Final Thoughts

I do not usually use stretchers, but I certainly enjoyed the feel of playing with Twisted. I loved the feel of the ridges and the stretch the shape gave me.

I highly recommend checking the measurements listed on the JTT website before purchase. I get to see all four sizes in person, so it is easy for me to choose. Checking the measurements helps to prevent disappointment.

One thing to remember when playing with this stretcher is that it has no stopper base. So please remember not to take the full length.
