I did not have long to wait after the box was dispatched before the delivery driver was knocking on my door.

The large box was plain and well sealed with plain brown tape. The shipping label was also discreet, not even mentioning the JTT website. I always appreciate discreet packaging. I prefer the delivery driver not to know about the naughty contents of my deliveries.

Inside the box were four sizes of Calamari Bliss. One vac-u-lock compatible suction cup holder/adaptor and four black faux velvet storage bags. All of which were packed together with paper packing paper.

I was delighted when I unboxed four plugs, one in each size and all four colours.

Each Calamari Bliss was covered in a transparent heat-sealed film. On the film were 2 stickers, one to remind you to wash the toy before use and the second to let me know the firmness rating. All four sizes I received were in the medium firmness rating.

Materials and design

Calamari Bliss is made from a platinum-grade silicone. Silicone is the ideal material for insertable toys. Silicone is body-safe, non-porous, and hypoallergenic. It is also free of phthalate, latex, and PVC.

Silicone is more robust than some cheaper materials too. So it will last a very long time when looked after properly. You can also enjoy temperature play with silicone, whether you want to play by warming or cooling. I would not recommend extreme temperatures, though, so always take things easy.

There are four nice colour options to choose from, my favourite would be the purple and black.

JTT ensures that every dildo they produce will be exactly the same as the very first by using copper moulds. This is a more expensive method of production, but it ensures that every dildo produced will have precisely the same features as the designer planned.

Calamari Bliss is the perfect shape for a butt plug. The bulbous top narrowing neck and flared base ensure that once situated in place, it will not fall out on its own. On two sides of the base is a flared wing. These ensure you will not take the toy too deep inside, and they provide great handholds when removing it. The design took over 14.5 hours of sculpture work to complete. I can understand why it took so long. The amount of detail is absolutely amazing.

You can almost picture a live squid sitting upside down with its tentacles hanging around it. The detail captured is very impressive. Each tentacle has a good quantity of suction cups running down its full length, providing some lovely textures.

The details are phenominal, especially in this colour option, but that wide flat tip makes insertion a lot of "fun".

Calamari Bliss has the JTT logo on the side near the base. This butt plug is not vac-u-lock compatible, so you will not receive a free suction cup holder.

JTT provides a free black faux velvet storage bag with every toy purchased. These bags come in a range of sizes. The faux velvet is a strong, well-stitched material with a drawer string closure. Each bag has the JTT name and logo printed on one side in white.

I received all four sizes in the four colours offered, each with a medium firmness rating. There is a soft firmness option if you prefer something with more squish.

The suckers produce lots of delightful sensations but cleaning needs to be done carefully.

Performance

Here is where I hand you over to the lovely sub 'r' as she has offered to help with this butt plug, so I hope you enjoy her review. She took one for the team as all four are just too big for me to manage "back there".

Hi all, sub 'r' here. I really like the pink and white colour mix. However, the size I received that colour in was far too large for me. So, I played with the small black plug for this review.

Even the small size is quite large for a butt plug and is not suitable for a newbie to anal play. Although I am not a newbie, this is the size I would usually play with.

Always check the sizing on the JTT website, they provide everything you need to know to prevent you from getting something too big, or too small for that matter.

I lined up everything I needed when I was ready to play. Laying down on the bed, I had some water-based lube and a smaller butt plug next to me. I even had some of my favourite porn playing on my tv.

The medium Calamari Bliss is more than a handfull.
