Delivery and packaging

This kit arrived by courier in a very discreet and well-padded box. It came with several other items. All were securely packaged, arriving in first-class condition quickly after being dispatched from Japan.

The Rope Hogtie Set is packaged in a quality cardboard box with a cardboard sleeve with artwork showing the contents around the limbs of an anime woman. It looks fabulous and sets the tone for this kit.

The packaging of this set is simply stunning.

Inside the box, the rope is packed in a resealable ziplock bag, allowing you to re-use it when putting it away after each use.

The shipping packaging was very discreet, with the contents packed carefully inside. The internal product box wass wrapped in bubble wrap to keep it in excellent condition in transit.

I love the fact that this set comes in a resealable bag.

Materials and design

This handmade Shibari Hogtie Set is made from a cotton material that provides a lovely smooth finish. The way the cotton has been twisted and tied gives a great looking rope that is strong, comfortable to use and still leaves some excellent looking rope marks on the skin. I never tire of admiring rope marks on skin, I think it looks amazing.

It was made from natural line braided rope, expertly woven, and it had no chemical smell when I unboxed it. This was a delightful surprise as I was expecting a slight smell from experience with other brands of rope.

The rope used in this set feels great and is fantastic quality.

Featuring two adjustable cuff sizes (one for the wrist and the other for the ankle), making it a comfortable fit for most people. The different cuffs are not easy to tell apart at first glance without holding against the others.

The ankle cuffs measure 7cm - 12 cm, and the wrist cuffs are 6cm - 9cm. The cuffs are adjusted by moving a slip knot; this stays put even if the wearer is a wriggler like sub'r'.

The rope has been woven together to form a dual channel for each wrist and ankle.

Each section of rope is joined together with a strong steel ring, making the angling of each section a little easier. The length of each section of rope is not extendable, so it may not be suitable for very tall people.

We found it an excellent fit for sub 'r' as she is about 5 foot 4 inches tall. I think someone over 6 feet in height may struggle and may find it too tight, but that could be to some people's taste, I guess.

The rope is a light golden tan colour which looks fantastic against any skin colour. This Rope Hogtie Set has been beautifully made, and it feels luxurious against your skin. I just love the weaves' braided pattern, and just dragging across your skin feels sublime.

The stainless steel ring works well as a center attachment point.

Performance

The Rope Hogtie Set is not only easy to use; it looks fantastic in use too.

The slip knot design makes it easy and quick to tighten and loosen each cuff. It is so simple to slide the knot to loosen, place the cuff in place, and slide it to tighten again. Even though adjusting is easy, the wearer cannot wriggle enough to loosen the cuffs on their own. As sub 'r' can attest to (insert evil grin here).

The wide cuffs are comfortable to wear, even for long periods.

The rope may look silky smooth but does provide an excellent roughness when dragged over the skin without making the skin feel raw on removal. I like that as hemp rope, which I enjoy using, can feel very rough. Again, the word luxurious springs to mind when describing the feel of this hogtie set.

The dual-channel design feels comfortable and firm on the skin in use. The design also leaves some excellent rope marks on the skin after being removed.

After a long hard session of me topping sub 'r', she loved to look at the rope marks left on her skin after use. We didn't have to worry about others seeing the skin on her wrists as the marks did not last too long.

When questioned about the experience, sub 'r' confirmed that it was quite comfortable to be hogtied with this rope set. Although I was nice to her as she was tied on a comfortable surface.

As I have come to expect from Liebe Seele, the craftsmanship of this set is excellent. I have no doubts about this lasting well for a long time. Just remember to treat the rope correctly, and you can enjoy this incredible Hogtie Set for a long time.
